MR. MURDOCH MEETS SETTLERS

Mr. A. J. Murdoch, M.P., returned last night from a tour of the southern part of Marsden electorate. Among the places he visited were W ark worth, Waiwera. Puhoi and Whansjaparaoa. At the latter place a number of settlers waited uj)on the member with reference to road matters. also the establishment, of a new school. Mr. Murdoch advised them to lioid a meeting and arrive at a definite conclusion the s'te for a school. He would then make representations to headquarters. Settlers ai-o asked for a free money arrant of to complete access from the main highway to Whanjraparaoa. Mr. Murdoch said he would ur<:e this most strongly. Completion of the road would put Wha nj:a para oh. with its beautiful bays and l-eache*. within an hour and a halt ot Auckland. It is hoped that an all-weather route between Auckland and V.'a jv.cra will be ronipletcd by the end of the ( resent month.
