Finnish Barque Arrives In Melbourne. TWO MEN LOST IN GALE. (Received 11 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. The Finnish barque, Ponapc, arrived after nearly five inontlis on a voyajre from Sweden. During a terrific "gale in the North Atlantic two seamen were washed overboard and drowned despite heroic efforts at rescue, which almost resulted in other members of the crew losing their lives.
