Scheme To Relieve Burden On State. ROAD WORK BY PRISONERS. (Received 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The Minister of Justice. Mr. Lee, is considering a scheme lor the establishment of prison camps for carrying out road work in the State bv utilising prison labour. It is thought to relieve the distress of the prisoners' families who have been left penniless and become a burden on the State.
