GOOD SPORT OFF WHANGAROA M.P. HAS GREAT FIGHT. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAXGAROA. this day. The latest catches at Whanparoa have x>en good. Mrs. Shi]»ton. of England, caught a makn shark, weighing 3501b, from the launch Huia. She had a splendid tight and was greatly impressed with the wonerful staving powers of th» mako. Mr. Stanley Ellis, of Hamilton, from the launch Reelswin, got a swordfisli, of Mr. A. M. Samuel. M.P., who is spending a short health-recuperating trip at YY hangaroa, was fortunate in landing the launch Manaaki, a swordiisli of 22<Ib, which gave by far the most spectacular and lively fight of the season. The fish was attracted bv a balloon float and after the first run gave one and a-half hours of continuous surface plav, rushing along at a terrific sj>€ed and jumping clear of the water. It finally subsided and was gaflfed alongside but fought vigorously to a finish. Messrs. McGregor and Reece George, of Auckland, were both unfortunate, swordfish. °
