WAIKATO NOTES.
A very <leliglitful garden party was given by Mrs. H. Douglas yesterday at her home, Ohaupo Koad, Hamilton* for the Rev. Dr. H. D. A. Major and Mrs. Majo?, of Ripon Hall, Oxford. Mrs. Douglas was wearing a brown silk frock with handsome lace collar; Dr. Mary Douglas, red and white erene do chine; Miss Margaret Douglas, green and grey georgette; Mrs. Major, brown and beige marocain, smart hat to match; Mrs. Harold Bull (Auckland), sister of Mrs. Major, smart red and navy crepe de chine, chic navy straw hat. Others present included: Mr. and Mrs. .T. Barugh, Mr. P. Le Quesne. Mr. and Mrs. P. K. Stevens, Mesdames N. A. Graham, G. Nav, M. G. Quick, C. H. Holloway, A. B. Beale, F. B. Jolly. Picken (Waingaro), M. Donny, T. M.* Hall, W. A. Chitty, W. H. Hume, €. Bees, F. A. Swarbrick, R. Carey, A. E. Manning, G. A. Hurdwood, O'Meara, J. Mathias (Auckland), M. R. Fairer (Oxford).
