NOTES FROM EPSOM.

There has not been a preat deal doing at Epsom during the week, but several visitors have arrived and from now on the work should be more interesting. Yesterday The Sinew and Ribbonwood's Last trotted solidly over a couple of miles. Xelson McCormack jVmed them over the last mile and a-half. They all did their work well, The Shrew shovving to most advantage. The Abbey and Dillon Huon were given a strong work out over a mile a;id α-half and finished together. Both are engaged in the Otaliuhu Cup on Saturday, and little fault can be found with their condition, particularly The Abbey, who is looking and working exeeptionallv well.

A. Julian ha* an addition to liis stable ill the shape of a four-year-old horse by (iold Bell. He is a solid looking sort and was out doing slow work on the track this morning. The well-known pacer Ltivan has been [nit to the stud and has been mated with Xelson Bingeii. Jackie Atidubon was not brousht back from the Wellington meeting and La* been handed over to J. J. Kennerley. who will prepare him for racing in future. J. Shaw is now training the trotter Leo Mauritius and had him on the track this morning. He is engaged in the Trial Handicap next Saturday. ■T. .1. Kennerley has arrived at Ep-om with Bonnie Belinont. who is engaged in the President's Handicap next Saturday. W. J. Tomkinson arrived at Epsom yesterday with Logan Park. Glidesn-av Happy Rosa, Tonic nud Rose Marie. ' R. Berry has brought a team of four horses north for the Otahuliu meeting They are Dundas Boy. Curfew Bov Jean McElwyn and Koro Peter. The four-year-old filly Mountain Del! by Blue Mountain King, driven by \V J. Tomkinson, was given a strong "work out over about a mile and a-half th : « morning. She paced very n>Hy. although she wa< blowing very hard when she pulled up.
