CAMBRIDGE PAY-OUTS. For January supply Cambridge and Bruntwood Co-op. Dairy Companies will advance the mim of £35,535. The Cambridge Dairy Company will pay out the sum of £31,300 on a basis of 1/8 lb butterfat for cheese and 1/5 for butter, against 1/4 and 1/3 respectively for the corresponding period of the previous treason, when the pay-out ra £22,500. The company's supply for January shows au increase of 20 per cent over January last season, but it must be remembered that in January laet year the country was feeling the full effects of the drought. For January the Bruntwood Company received 56,4741b fat for cheese-making, against 50,4201b for *he corresponding period of the previous season. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) OPOTIKI, this day. A dry spell in this district is causing the-ground to burn up considerably, and rain is badly needed. Owing to a heavy rainfall earlir in the season there is no shortage of feed, but the grass is now very dry, causing a considerable drop in butter production at the Opotiki factory. Discussing the effects of the present dry spell, Mr. Parlane, general manager ot the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Co., states that reports from the company's various factories indicate that outputs are showing a decrease, but not beyond what is considered normal at this period of the year.
