SOMETHING TO MAKE.
This is a pretty little ornament when finished and it is such fun in the making. Save up all the empty eggshells, you can and when you have
about a dozen, get out your paints and colour them brightly. Allow the ends which have been cut off to remain with jagged edges, as this gives a prettier effect. At the bottom of each shell make a tiny hole with a pin and pass a short length of thread through it, knotting it on the inside to prevent it slipping through altogether. These threads will serve to ti» the shells on to the branches of a twig, which is gathered from the garden. When this is done, insert your little tree into a painted cotton reel or a cream pot filled with sand. .
