WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.
HALPIN—EATON. A most picturesque wedding was solemnised in St. Mary's Church, Opotiki, cm Tuesday, when Monica, only daughter of ]\lr. and Mrs. If. Eaton, of Opotiki, was married to Lawrence George, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Halpin, of Grafton Koad. .Auckland. The bride, entering the church on the arm of her father, who ,uaye iier away, looked charming in a dainty frock of ivory "corvette, three circular accordion-pleated frills', caught at the waist-line with two huge ifianiante buckles, forming the *kirt. The bodice was finished with a graceful cape effect. She wore a. charming headdress of orange blossoms and silver rilibons. and the. usual white veil. Her beautiful Imu.iuct was of wait.- asters and roses, with asparagus fern. Miss Theo Halpin. of Auckland, sister of the bridegroom! attended the bride as sole bridesmaid. Her charming frock was of mauve sjcorgctte, with silver tissue trimmings, and hat to tone. She carried a bouquet <.f mauve asters and asparagus fern. Mr. Michael Eaton, brother of the bride. assisted as I.eM man. The Rev. Father Sinters ofliciated. The reeepti, )U was held at the rcsidnece. of the bride's-mother.
