YOUNG WOMAN ARRESTED.
OTHER CHARGES PENDING
Beryl Mildred Stevens (26), who was arrested yesterday afternoon, appeared at the Police Court this morning on a charge of stealing four pillow cases, valued at 6/4, from a Karangahape Road store.
"This woman was caught shoplifting about 4 o'clock yesterday," said Chief Detective Hammond, who added that four other similar charges were pending. Accused, for whom Mr. Finlay appeared, was remanded until Tuesday. Bail was allowed.
