TAKEN TO HOSPITAL.
WOMAX RECEIVES BURNS. RESIDENT OP WIRI. Suffering from extensive burns to the face and lips, a young woman, Mrs. F. Wall, of Wiri, was admitted to the Auckland Hospital this morning. The woman had been talking to her husband and then went into another part of th« house. Mr. Wall found her in a state of partial collapse, and nearby was a small bottle of some liquid from which the cork had been taken.
Dr. A. B. Jameson, of Papatoetoe, was summoned, and after administering an emetic he had the patient sent to the hospital. Her condition this afternoon was reported to be satisfactory.
