A FATAL DIVE.
NARROW NECK FATALITY. YOUTH'S NECK BROKEN. DEATH IN HOSPITAL. A youth, Guy Lobley, aged 19, of 11, Argyle Street, Heme Bay, dislocated his neck when he dived from some rocks at Narrow Neck into shallow water yesterday, and he was removed to the Auckland Hospital in a serious condition.
Lobley was a member or a party of territorials, who went bathing on the beach. After the accident he was taken on a stretcher to the camp, where he wae attended by the medical officer there. He wae later taken to the hospital by ambulance. He did not survive long, as death occurred at 9.20 this morning.
