(From Our Own Correspondent.) AIUK L". Wednesday. At the meeting of the Waiuku Tmvi, Hoard. Mr. J. A. James presiding, the clerk was instructed to have a nf lease drawn up by the Railway Department to enable the board to lay water mains under the railway line where necessary. The engineer forwarded plans anil speeifications for pumpiug plant fur. the water scheme. It was decided tu call tenders for the same. The matt.-r of a a tender for putting down the TMn iiort 1 was 1 t[ over pending further information from Mr. Spencer. T\vtenders were rereivril for ihe formation of the footpath in Victoria - venue, viz.. S. Holmes. i'Ju. ami J. Mehwen. £3u 2/6, the lower tender bein» accepted. Mr. Buttimore reported that the tide was getting in at the back of the concrete wall at the Sandspit Reserve. The Works Committer was authorised to spend up to £10 for anj urgent work, and to report upon the whole work next meeting. It was resolved to sand and shell the footpath in Kent .Street, from the railwav cottages to Domain Street: also to proceed with the second coating of Kitchener Road directly the Main Highways Board had been consulted as to wðer the use of Coltix would be allowed be used on the work It was decided fo transfer the sear of the Fire Brigade to the large shed at the rear of the board s office. A special meeting will be held on February is. to go into the matter of revising the existing by-laws. s
