DANNK\ IPiKE, Wednesday. The Dannevirke A. and P. Associa

tion s show was concluded to-dav in tine weather with a. very large attendance, including the Hon. J.'a. Forbes, Minister of Agriculture, who jaid his lirst vi-it to a show since his elevation to .Mini>terial rank, and the Hon. E. A. Ransoli, Minister of Public Works, The Ministers were entertained by the association, his Worship the Mayor extending a civic welcome to the Hon. -Air. Forbes on his first official visit to Dannevirke. Subsequently both Ministers delivered short <iddi esses to a crowd on the grandstand. Mr. Forbes quoted the grading* of butter for export for the six months ended January, also the cheese uradin-s for a similar period, and said that provided fairly normal conditions were maintained for the remainder of the present season a new production record was assured. He said that the export values of both butter and cheese were satisfactory this season, and he referred to the sheep returns as .-houimr the largest number recorded in ' the Dominions history and pointed out that there was a continued increase in breeding ewes. The ladies' hunters competition was won bv D H Newbigin's Bendower. with Nelson's Blue Moon second, and the wire jump was taken by Blue Moon.
