MASON CUP,
XORTH SHORE DISQUALIFIED. Owing to the North Shore Rowing Club's crew which finished first in the Mason Cup not complying with the conditions of entry, the St. George's executive has disqualified the crew and awarded the race to Auckland, the second crew. NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP REGATTA. The Hamilton Rowing Club's representatives left to-day to take part in the Xew Zealand championship regatta at I'icton on Saturday, February The journey will be broken at Wellington, where the crews will have a try out at the Wellington rowing regatta next Saturday. Hamilton will be the only Auckland provincial crew to be represented, and they carry the best wishes of all oarsmen for a successful trip. The senior four will be G. St. Clair (stroke), B. Sandos (3), W. Bayly (2), E. Waters (bow). In the senior pairs, at both regattas, the crews will be; Xo. 1, G. St. Clair (stroke), B. Sandos (how) : Xo. 2, E. Waters (stroke). W. Bayly (bow). Neither crew has done much in pair oar work, but the Xo. 1 crew is a solid combination, anil should be capable of keeping the opposition busy. The club's faith is pinned in I. W. St. Clair and C. D. Molesworth for the single sculls, but both are Touching the veteran stage, and will probably find it difficult to keep pace with tbei r younger opponents. In the double sculls, however, they are still a power to be reckoned with owing to their good combination. Disappointment is felt at the inability of four being unable to obtain the necessary leave to make the journey.
