ilr. and Mrs. /I. Wood, of Napier, arid formerly of Hamilton, have been visiting friends in the Waikato district. Mrs. Jennins has returned to Cambridge, after visiting relatives in Remuera. Mrs. H. Hollo way, of Hamilton, is spending several weeks with her daughter, Mrs. E. C. Clarke, at Kawa Kawa. Miss A. Brown, of Cambridge, is on a holiday visit to Kotorua. Miss E. Madeley, of Hamilton, is away for a holiday in Masterton. Mr. and Mrs. O'Connor have returned to Levuka, after being the guests of Mrs. F. Henderson, Hamilton. Mrs. W. J. Stevens has returned to Hamilton from a stay ot several weens at Waihi Beach. Mrs. Froude has returned to Hamilton from a. holiday spent in Wellington. Miss G. Eggleston, of Hamilton, is spending some weeks at Thames Coast. Miss K. Baker has returned home to lauranga after spending a holiday in Hamilton. Mrs. J. B. Sheath, of Auckland, is on a visit to her sister, Mrs. L. Cussen, Hamilton West. Mrs. G. Valder, of Sydney, is the guest of Mrs. H. Valder, Edinthorpe, River Road, Claudelands. Mrs. E. R. Lee, of Cambridge, has returned from a holiday spent with relatives in Australia. Mrs. F. A. Stevens, of Tauranga, is spending a holiday in Auckland. Mrs. J. H. Hammond' has returned to Hamilton after spending several weeks at Kawau. Mrs. McCracken, of Auckland, is visiting relatives in Hamilton. Mrs. R. Wilson, of Cambridge, is on a visit to Narrow Neck Beach. Miss M. Mawhinney has returned to Hamilton from a holiday spent at Taupo and Wairakei. Mrs. McShane, of Tauranga. is on a holiday visit to Auckland. Miss R. Brown, of Rotorua, is spending a holiday at Whangarei. The Misses Yvonne and Celeste Boillion have returned to Auckland from a visit of some weeks to Hamilton. Mrs. Hall, of Auckland, is spending a holiday in Cambridge.

A farewell bridge party was given by Mrs. G. A. Hurdwood, at the Lyceum Club, Hamilton, on Saturday for Mr. and Mrs. H. X. Eiby, who are shortly leaving Hamilton to reside in Wellington. The lounge was beautifully decorated with tiger lilies, African marigolds and zinnias. Mrs. Hurdwood wore a black embroidered georgette frock; Mrs. Eiby, pink and silver frock/ After supper Mrs. F. Bond sang several solos, and the accompaniments were played by Mrs. H. J. McMullin. The bridge prizes were won by Mrs. H. T. Gillies, Mrs. J. E. Chitty and Mr. W. Tudhope. An enjoyable tennis afternoon was given by Mrs. Moorhouse, "The Lightwoods," Cambridge, at her daughter's home. Those present were:—Mre. Moorhouse, Mrs. A. de L. Willis, Mrs. F. After the monthly committee meeting at the Lyceum Club, Hamilton, on Monday, a jolly supper party was held. During supper Mrs. F. B. Jolly, in a happy little speech, asked Douglas, the president of the club, to accept a leather case and writing case, for use on her voyage to England. "For She's a Jolly Gqpd Fellow" was sung, followed by "Auld Lang Syne." Those present were:—Mesdames Hugh Douglas, F. B. Jolly, H. T. Gillies, W. H. Hume, J. E. Page, E. V. Stace, H. J. Some very exciting games were played at the polo ground, Matangi, on Saturday bet wen the A and B Cambridge teams and Matangi. The ladies present were:—Mesdames Vere Chitty, VV. T. Taylor, R. At the Hamilton telephone exchange on Monday a farewell afternoon tea was given for Miss A. Feilding, who is shortly to be married. A merry time was spent. In the absence of the chief postmaster, the senior supervisor, Mr. Venimoore, presented Miss Feilding with a handsome clock and wished her every happiness in the future. Mr. Brain very suitably replied on Miss Feilding's behalf.

There was a large attendance of interested spectators to witness the exhibition of tennis given by Dr. J. Laurensen (Matamata), Air. A. W. Sims (Hamilton), Mr. X. Sturt (Auckland), Mr. E. The Hamilton Ladies' Swimming Club held a most successful carnival at the baths on Tuesday night. There was a large attendance and' the events were keenly contested.
