MARYBOROUGH OPERATIONS. APPOIXTMKXT OF EXGIXEKR. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) BLKXHKIM, this day. The Marlliorongh Aero Club lias appointed Mr. -I. H. Preston, of Mirnniar. Wellington, as proline! engineer from nine, applicants. Mr. Preston, who will l)e granted the Government's full ground engineer's license for light 'planes, had six and a half years' experience as an engineer in the British R.A.F., during which ho was engaged on the engines of th(> famous airships R.'W ami HW. also on the niulti-cngiiied Hying boats and general aircraft.
Captain X. K. Chandler, the chili's pilot instructor, has formally commenced his duties. The club anticipates that it will commence! flying operations next week. Trainees are being enrolled from as far north as Martinhorouuh.
