MANY MESSAGES IN CHALK.

WANGANUI, this day.
The freight on the two tramcars brought from Takapuna amounted to ! £83 9/2. The opinion of those who saw the cars it that Wanganui has not made much of a bargain, especially wh«n the cost of fitting the cars ia taken into consideration.
When the cars arrived in Wanganui they Werei well chalked with all sorts of messages, and the first instruction given to the staff at the power-house was to remove the chalk.
