SALVATION ARMY LEADERSHIP.

The removal of General Booth is greatlv to be deplored. Sad as it may be to the beam of so many thousands of Salvationists, and i am one of many years' standing, nevertheleet we must speak the truth. If it be thought that the Salvation Army as a whole is in favour of the High Council it is a grave mistake, for it is not so. Yve a* Salvationists believed that the High Council was called together to help our general in his most trrin* time, but alas! w e are sorry to find that it has taken a mean. tin-Christian! ike action. Thousands uf officers, like myself, and soldiers of the Salvation Army are shocked at the High Council and its action towards our general. Thousands of other officers as well as soldiers have made it their life's work to help to bond up this great Salvation Arm v. and vet the HhrSi Council has taken the whote of the Army into their own hands which is wrong and unfair. To walk into the sick room of such a man as our general and try to forco bis hands is a mean action. There U nothing else but personal gain in the whole movement. The HHi Council has not only been unfair to our general but to the Salvation Army as a whole, and it is high time Salvation Annv officers and soldiers entered a protest to the" High Council against its movement. The High Council has burnt many thousands of copies of the "War Cry." Why? Because our general had a personal letter in it. and tlie High Council knew that the letter was scuud, ai:d this proved that his mind was sound and his heart was sound towards our great Arrav, which he loves so dearly. Let the High Council be fair and give us the general's letter that we may read it for ourselves. It has been said that some of the very elect of the Salvation Army are in the High Council, and this inav be so, bat Go;Vs word said: 'Beware in the last days th»t even the very elect shall be deceived.*" We. pray that God will lie with our general, and whatever the motive of the High Council is it has no right to treat our general in this wav. I am one of thousands who love and will stand true to our beloved general, and I thank th* Press for the fair wav in which they have helped us, SALVATIONIST.'
