SCIENCE CONGRESS.

ARRIVAL OF VISITORS.

Several visitors whd will attend the Science Congress, which opens in Auckland to-morrow, have arrived from the South. Among them are Mr. B. C. Aston, of Wellington, president of the New Zealand Institute; Professor T. H. Easterfield, of the Cawthron Institute; the Von. Archdeacon Williams, of Hawke's Bay; Mr. W. R. D. Olliver, director of the Dominion Museum, Wellington; Professor Kirk, of Victoria University College, Wellington, and the Hon. G. M. Thomson, of Dunedin.

. A substantial contingent of delegates from southern centres is expected to reach Auckland to-morrow. The inaugural meeting of the congress will take place at 8 p.m., in the University College Hall, when the president will deliver the opening address. Members of the institute who wish to attend the meetings and entertainments connected with the congress are requested by the secretary, Mr. Gilbert Archey, to enrol at the University College next Thursday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., or between 6.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. They will then receive badges and programmes.
