HOUSE AT TAIHAPE LOST.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAIHAPE, this day.

Fire broke out in a six-roomed house owned and occupied by Mr. R. H. Good, skin buyer, in Birches Road, at 2 o'clock this morning. Mr. Good, whose wife and family are away on holiday, had a narrow escape. He was awakened by the noise of the fire, and saved only his personal effects. The contents of the house were insured for £200 by the National Office, and the house was insured for £400 in the Royal Exchange, and £450 in the State office.
