FIRES.

BLAZE IN WELLINGTON.

PHOTOGRAPHIC MATERIALS.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)

WELLINGTON, this day.

An outbreak of fire occurred in Kodak House, a six-storey building in Victoria Street, in which there is housed much inflammable material. The seat of the flames was the sixth floor, occupied by Kodak (Aust.) Proprietary, Ltd., containing highly'inflammable photographic supplies, which were responsible for the flames spreading with great rapidity over the whole of the top floor. All the fire-fighting appliances of the city were requisitioned to check the flames, and by strenuous work the brigade confined them to the top storey.
