Reprieved Doctor En Route
To London.
PRIVY COUNCIL APPEAL

LONDON, January 14,
The "Daily Express" says that Dr. Knowles, who was sentenced to death for the murder of Miss Madge Clifton, variety star, on the Gold Coast on November 24, and who was reprieved, will be brought to England. It is now learned that Dr. Knowles went through a form of marriage with Madge Clifton, who was a married woman, at Sekondi 'n 1923. He was earning £3000 annually in practice at Ashanti and had amassed a considerable fortune. The possibility of an appeal to the Privy Council s <s still under consideration.
