Mr. F. W. Firkin, of Te Aroha, leaves for Sydney on Thursday by the Marama. Mr. H. H. Sterling, general manager of Railways, who is visiting the South Island, will return north early this week. Mr. C. E. Iverson. B.Agr., of Canterbury Agricultural College, Lincoln, has been appointed science and agricultural master of St. Andrew's College. The Hon. A. J. Stallworthy, Minister of Health, was to leave Wellington today for Otaki, Palmerston North and Wanganui. He will return to Wellington on Wednesday. The Bishop of Waikato, on the nomination of the diocesan board of nomination, has appointed the Rev. J. W. Burley, curate of Rotorua, to the parochial district of Christ Church, Tauiuarunui. Mr. Burley will be instituted after Easter. Mr. T. A. Blair, assistant general manager for Zealand of the Vacuum Oil Co. Fty., Ltd., has been appointed assistant general manager of the Victorian branch, with headquarters in Melbourne. Mr. and Mrs. Blair leave Wellington by the Tahiti to-day.
