The first to be completed will be the Rangitiki, " which will sail from Southampton on her maiden voyage on February 15. The other two boats are expected to be ready in September and October.
All three are motor vessels. They are built to accommodate a hundred first class passengers, eighty second class, and over four hundred third class. A passenger lift serves all decks in the first class, and all classes are afforded 'excellent deck space. The decoration of the first ship is being undertaken by Messrs. Waring and Gillow to the designs of Mr. Robert Whyte. The general appearance of these ships is a two-funnelled two-masted vessel, with the passenger decks super-con-structed amidships.
