VETERAN LEGISLATOR.
PRESENTATION TO C. G. WILSON.

During the luncheon adjournament on Monday, a presentation wa* made at the Basin Reserve to Mr. C. G. Wilson, who recently retired from the position of chairman of the Wellington Cricket Association. Sir Francis Bell, on behalf of cricketers and supporters in Wellington, in asking him to accept a gold Rotherham lever watch, referred to the valuable services rendered to cricket by Mr. Wilson in raising the Wellington Association to a position o'f solvency. Sir Francis also mentioned the service done by Mr. Wilson, for Southland and Otago and Xew Zealand generally. Mr. Wilson had been chairman of flic Wellington Association since 1912 and in all, as he mentioned in the course of his reply, has been working as a cricket legislator for 42 years. The function was marked by great enthusiasm.
