GARAGE DESTROYED BY FIRE.
THREE MOTOR TRUCKS LOST. DAMAGE EXCEEDS £2000. (By Telegraph.—'Press Association.) HAWERA, Wednesday. Heavy damage was done by a fire which broke out in the business premises of Mr. A. E. McDonald, at Opunake, at 1.30 a.m. to-day. A corrugated iron building, subdivided into a garage, coal shed and office, was destroyed, and motor trucks and stocks of coal, coke, oil, cement and manures were also lost. The damage is estimated at between £2000 and £3000. The stock was insured for £225 and the building for £300.
