MORE DELAY.
AUCKLAND TRANSPORT BOARD
ELECTION POSTPONED.
NOMINATIONS NOT GAZETTED.
The functioning of the Auckland Transport Board has been further delayed by the postponement of the election which was to have been held next Monday evening to elect two members to represent the Unehunga, Mount Roskill, One Tree Hill, Ellerlie, Mount Wellington and Panmure districts. Five nominations were made by the interested local bodies. The delay in holding the election has been occasioned in consequece of an intimation by the Minister of Public Works that there is not time to issue the necessary Order-in-Council giving the names of the candidates. Immediately the necessary formalities have been completed in Wellington the Minister will notify a date on which the election can be held.
