NORTHCOTE MAN KILLED.
BUSH ACCIDENT AT KOPAKI. Mr. John Sorenson, aged 56 years, who was fatally injured yesterday owing to a heavy log falling on him in the bush at Kopaki, near Te Kuiti, had resided for the past five years at Northcote, and previously lived at Pukekohe. He leaves a widow, two eons (Messrs. Roy and Eric Sorenson, of Northcote) and two daughters (the Misses Grace and Mona Sorenson, of Northcote). The elder son, Mr. Roy Sorenson, worked with the father, and a little while back sustained a broken collarbone by falling from a motor bike there. He only returned during the last week or so to take up duty again. A coincidence is that deceased's father met his death in a similar manner, at a similar age, and in the same month of the year, in the bush at Inglewood, the deceased also workimg with his father at the time. The body is being transferred to Auckland for interment.
