SENT FOR TRIAL.
ON GRAVE CHARGES. HOTEL PORTER'S ARREST. Joseph Patrick O'Neill (27), a porter, employed at a city hotel, at the Police Court this morning, pleaded not guilty to two charges of indecent assault on a male, reserved his defence and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial at the next sessions. A youth of 17, residing at Remuera, gave evidence against accused. This was of a most unsavoury nature, the withnees alleging the offences took place at the Tudor Theatre, Rermiera, and at the Remuera railway station. Witnese complained to his employer about O'Neill and the police were notified. As a result Detectives Waterson and Craigie arrested O'NeilJ about ten o'clock one night recently when he was in witness' company at the Remuera station.
