DISTEMPER IN DOGS.
Immunity Can Be Secured By Inoculation. FIVE YEARS OF EXPERIMENT. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, November 29. Immunity of dogs from distemper can be secured in the future by inoculation, according to the report of the Medical Research Council announcing the success of five years of study and experiments. The method consists in the inoculation, firstly, with vaccine consisting of inactivated virus of distemper; and secondly, after an interval of ten days with an attenuated strain of the living virus. The committee has invited a commercial laboratory to produce the vaccine.
