POLITICAL CRISIS.
MINISTER DEFEATED.
MR. ANDERSON IN MATAURA. VOTES WRONGLY CO UK TED. ANOTHER SEAT FOR UNITED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Owing to the wrong crediting of Stt votes, the Hon. G. J. Anderson (Mataura) now appears to be unseated by 165 votes. There are still 4CO votes to count. Mr. Anderson's opponent was Mr. O. McDougall (U.).
Mr. Anderson seems likely to be the fourth Reform Minister to lose hia scat in the general election. The others, whose defeat is already certain, are the Hon. A. D. McLeod (Wairarapa), Hon. O. J. Hawken <Egmont), and the Hon. F. J. Rolleston (Timarti).
