Mrs. Hilton Fhilipean, ILP. (Can., Northumberland), at a meeting of the party's executive at Berwick-npon-Tweed, announced that she did not intend to stand again at the next general election. She said she had asked herself whether it was either possible or desirable for her to continue giving loyal service in the House of Commons in view of the appeal of her children.
