The engagement Is announced between Douglas Joseph Mercier, only son of M. and Mme. Gaston Mercier, of Liege, and Marjorie Aimee, eldest daughter of Dr. Bernard Myers, C.M.G., who is, of course, the brother of the late Sir Arthur Myers. Miss Myer's finance, who has just returned to London from Australia and New Zealand, where he has been farming for the past four years, is the great-nephew of the late Cardinal Mercief, . .
