JUBILEE SHOW.
AUCKLAND PREPARATIONS. APPOINTMENT OF STEWARDS. WINTER EXHIBITION COMMITTEE. Various matters in connection with Auckland's Jubilee A. and P. Show were discussed at a meeting of the executive council yesterday afternoon. Mr. W. W. Massey (president) presided. Subsequent to the reading of a letter from the North Island A. and P. Conference relative to the issue of free luncheon tickets, it was decided to reply to the effect that as far as Auckland was concerned it was too late to deal with the matter this year. It was resolved, however, to recommend the idea to other associations. 'In regard to the Jubilee Show, the council decided to issue free luncheon tickets to those exhibitors whose entrance money amounts to over £1 for both days of the Show, and tickets for one day to exhibitors whose entrance fees amount to over 10/ but less than £1. A letter from the Jersey Breeders' Association requested larger stalls for aged and two-year-old bulls. It was decided to comply with the request. The Seventh Day Adventists applied for the use of the Show Grounds at Epsom for their annual camp from December 3 to January 13. Last year the A. and P. Association charged £25 for the privilege. In the opinion of members of the council this amount was deemed insufficient, especially as there were 300 people accommodated at the last camp. It was decided to notify the applicants that the A. and P. Society was willing to allow them the use of the ground on payment of £100. Stewards for this year's Show (November 23 and 24) were appointed, and Mr. James Wyllie was appointed ring master, with" Mr. G. BickertonFisher as assistant. The following were elected to represent the Auckland A. and P. Association on the joint executive council of the 1929 Auckland Winter Exhibition: Messrs. W. J. H. Reynolds, J. P. Kalaugher, G. R. Hutchinson, H. C. Grierson, Bob Wright, W. J. W. Pascoe, G. Austin Carr, J. T. F. Mitchell, W. J. Topdell, S. Hamlin, A. J. Stratford, and R. W. Rugg.
