The Kaitaia Horticultural Society held its ninth annual show in the Agrlcultur.il Hall to-day. Special prizes were awarded as follows :— Decorative Section. —Decorated dinner table, Mrs. Pettit; original dinner table, Mrs. Vercamer: original tloral desi-in, Miss C. Holder; shower bridal bouquet, Mrs. McKinnon; posy bridal bouquet, Mrs. Smeeton; sheaf bridal bouquet, Mrs. McKinnon. Children's Section. —Decorated doll s pram, Dulcie Ramsey; child's tricycle, Sylvia Walls; boy's bicycle. Hector Kirtliin: special prize for most points in chlldreii'B garden section, Alan Ferry and Jean Tracey. Other Trophies.—Silver vase presented hv Messrs. Sutton for collection of 24 blooms, Mrs. Allen ; White challenge bowl for sweet peas. Miss Pat Dean ; champion rose, Frau Karl Drushter. exhibited by Mrs. Hester; special prize for collection of flowering shrubs, Mrs. A. H. Ptickey ; special prize for collection of vegetables, Mr. G. Wilkinson.
