PARCELS WRONGLY LABELLED.
POSITION BErNG CONSIDERED.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.)
WELLINGTON, Friday.
!Mr. E. T. Norris, register of the University of New Zealand, stated to-night that the position that had arisen at Auckland and Christehurch, where history paper B had been issued in mistake for history paper A in the degree examination would be considered tomorrow morning by the Wellington Recess Committee. He could make no attempt as to the probable course to bs taken by the committee. The error had evidently arisen from the parcels of papers being wrongly labelled.
Mr. Norris said the error had been detected at Wellington before the issue of the papers. As far as he knew Dunedin had also escaped the position that had arisen at Christehurch and Auckland.
