LIMITED IN STORM.
RAIN PENETRATES INTO CARRIAGES.
Passengers by the Limited express this morning reported that they had passed through particularly severe storms in the Manawatu, Wellington and Rangitikei districts. So -torrential was the rain that it penetrated the windows and doors of the express, and the luggage had to be shifted in some instances in order to keep it dry. Sacks were used to prevent the water from encroaching further into the guard's van. The passengers, after the boisterous conditions down South, appreciated the brilliant sunshine with which they were greeted in the Auckland province this morning.
