YOUNG MAN GETS A CHANCE.
WARNED BY MAGISTRATE.
«"If It was not for the fact that your wife is ill, I would have sent you to gaol," said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., to Raymond Cecil Harding (25), who appeared at the Police Court this morning for sentence on a charge of stealing a cycle valued at £10 19/6. Mr. Hunt added that Harding had a bad record. He had beer convicted in the South and also at Auckland. The next time he got in trouble he would be sent to gaol. The charge against accused was adjourned for three months.
