THE COMMERCE TRAIN.
AMONG THE PIONEERS.
WELCOME TO HOKIANGA.
BROADWOOD, this day,
The commerce train party is spending a profitable day among the pioneers o'i Hoklanga county, where surprising development has taken place during the past few years. The train arrived at Okaihau before daylight, and the tourists left the train by motors for Rangiahuii and Horeke. After breakfast they proceeded by launches down to the head waters of Hokianga Harbour to Kohukohu, where they had a picturesque welcnie from school children and residents. They motored through rich river valleys to Broadwood, and there were entertained at lunch by local bodies, Mr. Alfred Yarborough (county chairman) presiding. Residents extended a royal welcome. The visitors motored back to the train via Wainiate North and Ohaewai, to proceed to Opua and thence by launch to Russell.
