TROTTING.
ADDINGTON JOTTINGS.
GREAT BINGEN WELL.
LOGAX PARK AND PRINCE POINTER FLY.
(By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") CHKISTCHURCH, Thursday. The track at Addington wag in much better condition this morning than was expected after the recent rain. It was somewhat on the heavy side when work was commenced, but the harrows and the work done on it improved it very fast, and at noon it was in good order, with dust flying when the last of the horses were being worked. Peter Bingen went away just in front of Jackie Audubon, with Vesuvius about three lengths further back. The trio worked a useful mile and a-half, and finished as they started. They raced close in to the rails all the way. Peter Bingen went on another quarter of aa mile, but not at the same speed. < Queen's Own and St. Maura worked a mile and a-half together, and then the Cup mare went on for another halfmile. The speed for the mile and a-half was not fast, but Queen's Own ran her final half-mile at top speed. Great Bingen, after a few short spurts, set off for a mile and a-quarter. He went the first half-mile at a fair speed, and the next at a good clip, being eased over the last quarter. The time for the middle half-mile was very good, and there is no doubt that Great Bingen is well. °
Lojran Park started more than a second in front of Prince Pointer, and led the Cup candidate by about eight or ten lengths over the first seven furlongs, when Prince Pointer drew level. The pair went together for the next mile and a furlong, two miles in all, but fust at the finish Prince Pointer drew away and won by a length. It was a very fine piece of work on the part of both pacers The first mile and a-quarter was done at an even speed, but the next quarter was much faster and the speed was increased to the finish, the time being easily the best of the morning. Free Advice's two good wins at Auckland will probably bring her support for the Empire Handicap at the Metropolitan meeting. With her penalty of 24yds however, she is giving starts to some' good ones, among whom ig Dillon Huon while with only 12yds from Native Prince she will be kept very busy to hold off the Native Queen pacer.
