GIRLS' SPORTS.
NEW GROUND AT REMUERA.
OPENIXG TO-MORROW AFTERNOON
Favoured by fine weather, every success should attend the official opening of the Auckland Girls' Athletic Association's sports ground, Market Koad, Remuera, to-morrow afternoon. A large attendance of the public is anticipated.
A short opening ceremony, at which the Mayor (Mr. G. Baildon) will speak, has been arranged to preceed a sports programme, postponed from last Saturday. There should be keen competition in the sports, as all the teams are confident of making a good showing. As tennis courts are being laid down in front of the pavilion, the sports will be held a little to the side, but arrangements have been made for seatfn<* accommodation on three sides of the field. Music will be supplied by the Ponsonby Boys' Brass Band. Special trains will be run to and from the ground.
