BOXING.

MILITARY CHAMPIONSHIPS.

FOURTH NIGHT OF TOURNEY,

LIVELY FINALS ANTICIPATED^

There was more exciting boxing when the military tournament was continued in the Drill Hall last evening. Some 30 bouts were decided, all of which were sufficiently lively to keep the spectators interested.

Now that the tournament has been in progress for four evenings, the weaker competitors have been eliminated, and there is promise of some stirring contests when the finals are decided tomorrow evening.

In a number of last evening's bouts it was just "give and take" from the first gong to the last, but in other instances the competitors showed a sound knowledge of the sport. Among the competitors who will eontest the semi-finals and finals to-morrow evening are a number of Jads who are well known as amateurs at the Northern Boxing Association's carnivals in the Town Hall, and their greater experience is likely to stand them to t» O od advantage. There should be both fireworks and clever boxing. Results of last evening's bouts were as follow—
