ENGLISHMEN ARRIVE.

"FLAG-FLYING TOUR."

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

WELLINGTON, this day.

"Our arrival in New Zealand marks the second stage of what might be called our flag-flying tour," said Mr. H. A. Sabelli, manager of the English tennis team, comprising H. W. Austin, I. G. Collins, E. Higgs and J. C. Gregory, which arrived by the Makura from San Francisco this morning.

The team came through Canada, and after a short stay in the Dominion they will spend some months in Australia, and return to England via South Africa.

The Englishmen go to Cliristchurch to-morrow night and play there Friday and Saturday. Mr. Sabelli said the standard of tennis in England, particularly amongst women, was very high.
