HARCOURT CUP DAY AT TRENTHAM.
WAIKATO HUNT AND NORTHLAND TROTS
King Turf reigns supreme to-day, for, besides six race meetings, there are three trotting carnivals in progress. North Island leads the way, with Wellington (the Harcourt Cup, weight-for-age, is the star event), Waverley, Waipawa, and Waikato Hunt gallops, Northland trots completing the quota of five meetings. In the South, besides racing at Rangiora and Gore (second day), there are trots at Greymouth (second day) and Oamaru.
