TITIRANGI GOLF COURSE.
AN OFFICIAL OPENING.
The reconstructed golf course of Maungakiekie Club at Titirangi was officially opened this morning when a gathering of over 100 competitors in the tournament with which the new links are being christened, and officials of the club assembled for the occasion. Mr. G. Lawrence Taylor, in declaring .the links open, gave a brief history of the scheme, which had arrived at fruition, and paid tribute to enthusiasts, chief of whom was Mr. H. W. Cooke, whose capable and persistent had contributed largely to Maungakiekie Club being now in possession of a course equal to any in the Dominion.
