TWO BOYS BEFORE COURT.
Two boys- were before the ChiMren's ■Court this morning,'charged with damaging the direction .table on the top of Mount; Eden. It appeared that the boys had not intended any wilful damage, but one bby had .-been pointing' out the | directions to his mate : with 5 a stick, and he '.had- perhaps been a little* too ; emphatic in his demonstrations;
The action was brought by the Mount Eden Borough, CouncUi in order to draw the attention of the public to the care that must be taken of public property. Th* ' care of u public property was stressed by the Bench, and the lads were admonished and diacharged, the presiding Justice remarking that, in tlis particular case he did not consider the matter at all gerioas as far as these particular boys were concerned; but the Bench was ' emphatic that in cases where , really serious mischief occurred the matter i would be dealt: with. more severely;
