ABOUT 2000 SHEEP KILLED.

GISBOKNE, Friday. * is estimated that from 1500 to 2000 head of sheep perished as a result of a log and grass fire which swept several stations in the back country of Tokomaru Bay between Monday and Wednesday of last week.
None of the station homesteads was damaged, but the loss of stock, fences and feed on some of the properties is serious. r 1T - '
