BOXING FRAME-UP.
FORFEITURE OF PAYMENT.
(Received 11 a.m.)
MELBOURNE, this day.
As a result of the evidence of a frame-up in the boxing match between Van Reeden and Kid Socks, Van Reeden's share of the gate money- has been forfeited and will be paid to the Lord Mavor's fund.
The stadium management examined Kid Socks, and, if they consider he, too, was implicated, his share will also be withheld. Socks sails on Monday.
