LIBEL CLAIM.
SYDNEY, October 19.
A settlement out of Court was reached to-day in the case in which Mr. Ezra Norton, chairman of the "Truth and Sportsman," Limited, claimed £10,000 damages for alleged libel against "Bee* kett's Newspapers," Limited.
The alleged libel was contained in open letters published in February and March, which reflected on Mr. Norton's character. The defendant company withdrew all the accusations, publicly apologised, and paid costs. The case was struck out*
